Class of 2015

Our 154th all-university Commencement ceremony took place Friday, May 15, 2015 at 8:30 a.m. in Brookings Quadrangle.

2015 Chancellor’s Address

“Thank you for what you have done so far, but you have raised my expectations through your successes. The future of the world depends on you! It is now time for commencement of that brighter future. Congratulations to the Class of 2015!”

2015 Commencement Address Speaker – Ken Burns

Ken Burns, director and producer of some of the most acclaimed historical documentaries ever made, has been selected to give the 2015 Commencement address at Washington University in St. Louis in May. Burns will be receiving an honorary doctor of humanities degree.

Referred to as “the most accomplished documentary filmmaker of his generation” by The New York Times, Burns has explored such compelling topics in American history as the Civil War, the Dust Bowl, Prohibition and World War II.
