Commencement regalia

All students wear the distinctive Washington University gown. The gown is green with black velvet trim and the university’s shield on both sleeves at the shoulder. For graduate students and faculty, black velvet tams replace the traditional mortarboard.

Rental regalia will be available for pickup in the bookstore, lower level coursebook area, Mallinckrodt Center. Students will be required to present their university photo ID to claim their orders.

The bookstore opens early, at 7:30 a.m., on Fri., May 15.

May 15-17, 2020

Rental regalia must be returned no later than Sunday, May 17, 2020. On May 17, return regalia to the lower level of the Danforth Campus store. Rental regalia may be picked up at the Medical Campus bookstore (map). You must present a university photo ID in order to claim your order. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

May 15–22, 2020

Rental regalia must be returned no later than Friday, May 22. Returns can be made following the Doctor of Medicine recognition ceremony at America’s Center or at the Medical Campus bookstore (map). Hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
