Washington University in St. Louis has canceled the Commencement ceremony on May 15, due to health and safety concerns related to COVID-19.
We know that this decision is very disappointing for our graduates and their families. Rest assured that there will be an in-person Commencement ceremony to recognize our 2020 graduates’ accomplishments, and the chancellor has appointed a committee to determine when and how we can do that in a safe and responsible way.
Please watch for additional communications in the weeks to come related to a future celebration.
In addition to the university-wide Commencement ceremony, each of our schools and colleges holds a separate ceremony recognizing each individual student.
